Moody Towers Dining to Begin Construction for Renovation Project
Moody
Towers Dining Hall will soon undergo
extensive renovation to transform
its current layout into an
innovative, Fresh Food Co. dining
experience for the fall.
Redesigning the dining hall, this
new concept will involve several
mini-restaurants, which will
prepare dishes according to diners
specifications in true made-to-order
fashion.
From Mediterranean and Mongolian
grills, to vegetarian stations,
diners will be surrounded by the
aromas of fresh foods cooking, and
the variety of international and
American cuisine, according to the
Fresh Food Co. for UH Dining
Services.
Customers will have the opportunity
to direct the chef to which
ingredients they would prefer in
their dish, and watch the meal
cooked in front of them.
According
to Fresh Food Co., Food is cooked
to order in full view of the
customer, reaffirming the freshness
of their choice, and minimizing
waste.
This is an exciting enhancement for
dining at the University of Houston,
as this acquisition will mark the
largest facility of its kind in the
Southwest region.
The Moody Towers Dining Hall is
currently closed for the renovation
and is expected to reopen by the
beginning of the fall semester.
However, Oberholtzer Dining Hall
will remain open all summer.
