Students get break from studies at Finals Mania

Nearly 1,700 students enjoyed a stack of pancakes and turkey sausage at the M.D. Anderson Library the night of May 2.

The two-hour event, known as Finals Mania, takes place at the end of the fall and spring semesters to give weary UH students a break from studying for final exams.

Members of the UH marching band kicked off the event by performing several songs from the second-floor balcony. After that, the serving began, with help from dozens of dedicated volunteers who did everything from making pancakes to handing out drinks to manning the topping station, as well as everything else in between.
