The University of Houston community was able to learn the basics of composting during a special RecycleMania event held in the campus community garden.
"How to be a Rot Star: Composting 101" was organized by the UH Office of Sustainability. It took place Tuesday, March 10, in the garden, which is adjacent to Cougar Woods Dining Hall.
Those who came were served a hot bowl of vegetarian soup from UH Dining. Speakers included John Ferguson from Nature's Way Resources and Pat Greer from Pat Greer's Kitchen.
