Cranberry Farms Goes Bar-B-Que
Brings New Flavor to Campus
This
week, the University of Houston
welcomes barbeque on its campus for
the first time since 2005. Cranberry
Farms restaurant in the UC Satellite
has recently added delicious
barbecue items to its menu.
One of the things weve noticed on
campus is that weve covered every
type of cuisine except for
barbecue, said Tony Urso, Resident
District Manager for UH Dining
Services. Thus, Cranberry Farms Goes
Bar-B-Que will be a welcome addition
to the diverse range of dining
options currently available on
campus. Being located on a
metropolitan campus in a city like
Houston makes this restaurant a
prime opportunity to celebrate the
flavors of the south.
Cranberry Farms Goes Bar-B-Que will
be testing their barbeque recipes
from February 22nd through March
15th. After assessing the new menus
popularity among UH diners,
decisions will be made about
permanent menu items and when they
will be offered.
Cranberry Farms original menu
included turkey and rotisserie
chicken as well as different sides.
The new barbecue menu offers
barbecue chicken, sausage links,
beef brisket made with Chef Toris
secret rub and sauce, and a variety
of sides, such as corn, fried okra,
potato salad, and tasty homemade
corn bread and macaroni and cheese.
Also available for purchase are
delicious homemade baked pies and
cookies, for a sweet close to the
meal.
