SUMMER MAINTENANCE
Parking and
Transportation Services will be
performing maintenance on various
lots and entrances during the summer
break. The projects will be planned
to minimize disruption and impact on
customers.
Concrete repairs are planned for
Entrance 1 near Calhoun Street,
Entrance 4 near Moody Towers and the
Welcome Center Garage, entrance 11
near Cullen, and entrance 14. These
repairs may involve temporary lane
closures or restrictions which will
result in minor traffic disruptions.
Although one lane of traffic will
remain open for traffic at all
times, drivers are encouraged to be
aware of the construction in these
areas and seek alternate routes when
appropriate to avoid delays.
Parking lot repairs are also
scheduled during this time. Lots 1E,
4A, 8A, 9C, 12A, 15D, 16B, 16D, 18A,
19B, 19C and 20A will undergo
preventative asphalt maintenance.
Areas of these lots will be
unavailable for parking during these
repairs. Additionally, lot 18A will
be seal-coated and restriped as a
part of this project. This lot will
be unavailable during the
seal-coating project.
Parking and Transportation Services
is working to schedule any work
involving larger portions of a lot
to occur during non-peak times to
minimize the impact on customers.
PTS encourages all drivers to be
aware of these projects to ensure
the safety of workers.
Additional updates will be
communicated on the UH Parking and
Transportation Services website at
www.uh.edu/parking as needed.
Additionally, the PTS Facebook and
Twitter pages will be updated
throughout the projects with any
additional information.
