PARKING LOT CONSTRUCTION

Parking and Transportation Services will begin construction of 3 new temporary parking lots May 31, 2011 to replace spaces lost during construction of the new stadium parking garage.

The expansion of lot 16D at the intramural fields, the Leek Street lots located between Leek and Cullen north of Elgin and the Bayou lot located near Bayou Oaks will create over 700 temporary spaces for the upcoming year. Construction is expected to take approximately two months, with an anticipated completion date of August 2, 2011.

During construction, lot 16D will be closed to all vehicles. No other major disruptions are planned during construction; however PTS encourages all drivers to be extra cautious and aware of construction vehicles and workers in these areas.
