DON YACKLEY ACCEPTS EXECUTIVE DIRECTORSHIP FOR RESIDENTIAL LIFE & HOUSING

The Division of Student Affairs announced the hiring of Don Yackley as the University of Houston�s new Executive Director of Residential Life and Housing. Yackley will join the University of Houston in his new role on June 20, 2011. He brings 18 years of progressive, professional experience in student housing. Yackley has been in his current role as Director of Student Housing and Residence Life at California State University-Monterey Bay since 2006. Prior to this post, he has served as the Director of Residence Life at Portland State University and the University of Idaho.

Yackley holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern Oregon State College and a Master of Education in College Student Services Administration from Oregon State University. He brings a wealth of professional experience to this critical role in student success for the University of Houston.
