HUB Cougar-Connect Event on June 23

The annual University of Houston HUB Cougar-Connect Event is scheduled for Thursday, June 23, 2011, from 9 a.m. 4 p.m. in the Rockwell Pavilion of the MD Anderson Library. This event, sponsored by UH System Purchasing and the UH Small Business Development Center, is an opportunity for UH community decision makers to meet and connect with some excellent local historically underutilized businesses. These businesses provide quality goods and services in support of your goals, and many of them will accept your UH P-card to do business. The Cougar-Connect Event will assist you in identifying outstanding local HUB vendors and will foster future business contacts. Spending your dollars locally with small businesses helps to power our region economically and supports our university HUB program goals.

Thirty vendors will be on hand to meet and greet and provide you with solutions to help with your projects. The UH SBDC will be providing training for our small business participants. Additionally, there will be light snacks and hourly drawings for some prizes that can assist your departments. Please come out, bring your business cards and make a connection with these outstanding local minority/woman-owned businesses. For more information please contact Christopher Burton, UH HUB Coordinator, at ceburton@central.UH.edu or 713-743-5671.
