NEW FOOD SERVICE DIRECTOR BEGINS TENURE AT RESIDENTIAL DINING HALLS
After a
semester-long search for a food
service director to lead the
residential dining team, UH Dining
Services has brought Mohamed Jouini
on to fill the role.
Jouini graduated from the Tunisian
Air Force Academy and holds a
distinguished diploma from the
Defense Language Institute in San
Antonio, Texas. He began his food
service career as a catering manager
for the Omni Hotel in San Antonio
and joined ARAMARK, the company that
currently provides food services at
the University of Houston, in 1995.
Jouinis most recent position was as
a residential food service director
at New Mexico State University.
When asked about his leadership
style, Jouini said, I see myself as
an enabler to happiness and
productivity for people that work
with me, and therefore I have an
emotional responsibility to them and
the people who are dependent on
them.
Jouini is not only focused on
improving employee engagement and
satisfaction in the dining halls, he
also hopes to translate that to a
more satisfying customer experience.
I am looking forward to
contributing to the success of UH
and bringing the latest and the
greatest in culinary expertise
combined with an unmatched customer
service attitude, said Jouini.
