-How long have you worked for the
department?
6 years. I joined UH in March 2004
and served for two years as a HR
Customer Service Specialist. I was
promoted to DBA in May 2006.
-What kind of duties does your
job involve?
Manage the administrative,
financial, budgetary and human
resources operations. Provide
financial accountability and ensure
compliance with state, university
and external funding agency
guidelines. Most recently have taken
on the responsibility of managing
the financials for UHERP.
-What do you like best about the
job?
Interaction with the campus
environment; I work with a great
team of people and the dynamics of
the job allow for continuous
learning.
-How has the scope of work grown
or changed since the Khator/Carlucci
administration began?
It�s great to know that the work
that we are doing focuses on and
supports our journey toward tier
one.
-What is the most challenging
part of being a Department Business
Administrator?
Keeping up with all the projects-
multi-tasking! My job is very busy
and dynamic so multi-tasking is a
necessity.
-What kinds of things drive you
to come to work every morning?
I have a very loyal and dedicated
team. We enjoy what we do and work
well together to accomplish goals
and overcome challenges. The team�s
loyalty, dedication and commitment
to UH is what motivates me to come
to work every day.
