HURRICANE SEASON IS HERE!

With hurricane season here, it is important to review your 72-Hour Emergency Campus and Travel Preparedness Kit. This tool gives you a listing of essential supplies, tailored to meet the basic survival needs for a period of 72-hours during or after a disaster. The kit will also help prepare you, your coworkers and family for an emergency lasting up to 72 hours. Take just a few minutes to review the list and be prepared!

The 72-Hour Emergency Campus and Travel Preparedness Kit can be viewed here.

Remember these 3 steps:

Step 1
Have a Plan

Know whether you live in an evacuation zone or not. If so, make plans to evacuate. Know where you will go and how to get there. If you do not live in an evacuation zone, plan to shelter from the storm.

Step 2
Build an Emergency Kit

Prepare enough supplies for 3 to 7 days. Include non-perishable food, drinking water, first aid kit and essential toiletries. Dont forget medications, cash, flashlight with extra batteries and a weather radio. For a complete list, see http://tinyurl.com/7qhcslv

Step 3
