Lost and Found Goes Online
The University of Houston Department
of Public Safety (UHDPS) has changed
its lost and found system to provide
a more convenient system for the
campus community. We have found that
with higher demands and more time
constraints, most people don�t have
the luxury of being able to take
time out of their busy day to come
to the station to inquire about the
recovery of their lost property or
submit a report in person. With this
consideration we feel that we can
better serve our customers through
the availability of utilizing
technology to facilitate the
process, thus we have instituted an
online reporting process whereas the
customer can complete the report
themselves without having to go
through tedious and time consuming
efforts.
The online reporting form is simple
and in a user friendly format. Once
completed and submitted, it is
received directly by the UHDPS Lost
and Found department and is
immediately processed to assist our
campus community. The form can be
