Members of the University of Houston community now have a new way to track Cougar Line shuttle buses thanks to DoubleMap, a mobile application that offers users real-time updates and notifications on bus trip times, locations and more.

“We are excited about offering this new technology to students, faculty and staff, as it promises to provide accurate predictions and projections for them,” said Bob Browand, director of UH’s Parking and Transportation Services. “The app is user-friendly and easy to navigate.”

DoubleMap will power Cougar Trax, the real-time GPS tracking system designed to show riders when the next bus will be at a specific shuttle stop. The previous app will be phased out over the course of the semester as UH Parking and Transportation’s shuttle provider, Groome Transportation, fully transitions to the DoubleMap system.

To download the new application, visit either the Google play or Apple App store and search “DoubleMap.”
