Students at the University of Houston may apply for a $400 bookstore loan to purchase textbooks and other academic supplies.
The loans are available through Feb. 1. Students can apply online by following these steps:
Once the process is complete, funds will take a couple of hours to become available. To use the loan, students should visit the UH Bookstore in the Student Center and present their Cougar Card to the cashier. The loan will be added to the student’s fee bill, and will be due by the 60th calendar day of the spring semester.
Funds not used by Feb. 9 will become unavailable for use. Though the loan is interest free, it does have a $5 non-refundable origination fee.
