University of Houston Dining Services is delighted to announce Curtis Snell as the new senior human resources manager.

Snell will be in charge of human resources for the University of Houston, University of Houston-Downtown, University of Houston-Clear Lake, University of Houston-Victoria and Victoria College.

In his role, Snell will be in charge of providing strategic direction and professional consultation to senior level leadership and their respective employees in areas such as compensation, benefits, employee and labor relations, talent acquisition, leadership development, talent management, training and organizational development, change management, and organizational dynamics.

Snell is not new to the service industry with more than 23 years in store operations and human resources experience with Payless ShoeSource. He held top management positions, including his most recent role as the human resources manager, for which he was in charge of employee relations programs for 1,500 Payless stores and 80 districts including Puerto Rico. He also developed a college recruiting program for Payless throughout the state of Texas. Snell’s vast experience will help him in his new role with ARAMARK.

"Working at Payless I had the opportunity to work and learn from people from all age groups, from multiple backgrounds and a variety of different cultures," he said. "That and my experience in operations and human resources have prepared me for this new role at ARAMARK."
Snell is eager to dive into his new role. His first priority is to understand the dynamic partnership between ARAMARK and the university to better understand the human resources needs. Secondly, he plans to build key relationships within ARAMARK and the university’s staff to get a clear understanding of the shared culture. As soon as the foundation is set he wishes to "make suggestions that will help employees develop their skills and talents so that UH and ARAMARK can achieve their goals today and into the future."
