The University of Houston community came out to celebrate the opening of the new UH bookstore in the UC -- even if it was three days later than originally planned.

The open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Jan. 31 for the two-level Barnes & Noble @ University of Houston. There was food and giveaways to all those who attended.

The event was originally scheduled for Jan. 28, but an arctic cold front blew into the Houston area and brought freezing rain that led to classes being canceled that day. As a result, the celebration was rescheduled for later that same week.
