Facilities Planning and Construction achievements continue to grow
 
Throughout the past year, Facilities Planning and Construction staff have celebrated many achievements:

Eva Lyon received a Master of Science in Construction Management from the University of Houston in June and Chad Thome received a Master of Library Science from the University of North Texas in December.

Kelly Buehler and Jeanne LaMontagne have become LEED certified.

Maggie Manley and Luiza Maal are licensed architects, and Larkin Buechmann is a licensed master plumber. Sheree Pearce obtained a certification in Information Systems Security.

In addition to presenting and attending numerous conferences, staff was offered nine various training opportunities by FPC.

Several FPC projects have been recognized, including the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication Expansion project for which Bartlett Cocke General Contractors won the Texas Building Branch Outstanding Construction Award for its category ($2 million-$5 million). In addition, the ERP Building 4 Lobby was published in the Impact Architectural Lighting catalog.
