Comedic legends John Cleese and Eric Idle were presented with special gifts prior to performing before a packed house at Cullen Performance Hall on Nov. 29.
The pair were given University of Houston jerseys by Carrie Miller, Cullen Performance Hall’s new theater director. The jerseys were personalized with each comedian’s name.
Cleese and Idle are founding members of Monty Python who brought their “Together Again at Last … For the Very First Time” show to UH. Their performance blended script and improvised bits with storytelling, musical numbers and exclusive footage.
