As the start of the spring semester approaches, so does the grand opening of Freshii, the newest addition to the diverse dining options available on the University of Houston campus.
Freshii will be located in the Student Center (formerly known as the University Center) on the first floor behind the information booth. It is part of the second phase of the construction and renovation project, which also includes the newly renovated Houston Room, Legacy Lounge, Student Center Plaza, Cougar Byte, and Shasta's Cones & More.
Freshii offers a variety of healthy menu choices that incorporate fiber-rich, slow-burning carbs, essential fats and lean proteins. Guests can choose from a variety of chef-designed entrees or customize their own bowl, wrap, salad or soup to fit their specific dietary needs. Click here to view the Freshii website.
Sustainability is also very important to Freshii. All of its packaging is biodegradable or easily recyclable and Freshii locations are purposely built small to minimize the environmental impact.
The grand opening for the entire Student Center will be held on Jan. 21. More information regarding specific opening activities will be announced shortly.
