UH Dining welcomes new dietitian

University of Houston Dining Services is delighted to announce Sarah Feye as the new district dietitian. She will be in charge of nutrition programming and education for the four universities in the UH System.

In her role, Feye will continue to expand on the Healthy for Life initiative, which provides people with the tools to choose healthy options in dining halls, as well as educational events to engage diners through social media, health fairs and culinary demos.

She also will meet with students, faculty and staff in individual sessions to provide them with advice and suggestions on such topics as dietary needs food allergies. As UH Dining continues to increase healthy initiatives, Feye will become more involved in recipe creation and evaluation of nutritional values.

She is graduating this month with a master's degree in human sciences with an emphasis in nutrition and dietetics from Stephen F. Austin State University, where she was involved as the president of the Student Dietetic Association. She previously held an internship with ARAMARK as the dietary intern for Stephen F. Austin Dining Services, where she trained with Caroline Sullivan, UH Dining Services' former dietitian.

"I am extremely excited about the upcoming school year," Feye said. "UH Dining is planning great events to empower students by providing opportunities for consumer engagement and education. I also hope to spread awareness about all of the services UH Dining offers."
