ADDITIONAL PARKING LOTS AVAILABLE

In anticipation of record enrollment, Parking and Transportation Services has created several new temporary parking lots and secured 2 shuttle lots at TSU for the 2011-2012 academic year.

To help accommodate students displaced by the construction of the new stadium parking garage, 4 new lots have been added near Cullen/Elgin. Lot 16D, a student lot bordering the intramural fields, has been expanded by almost 400 spaces. The Leek Street Lots are comprised of 3 economy lots located between Cullen and Leek just south of I-45. Combined, these 4 lots will provide parking for up to 750 cars.

Near Bayou Oaks an additional economy lot has been created. Located on Calhoun, between Bayou Oaks and Entrance 3, the new Bayou Lot has parking for up to 80 vehicles.

In addition to the shuttle lots available at Energy Research Park, Parking and Transportation Services has also secured lots at TSU for UH students with a valid UH parking permit. Lots S2 and S3, near Scott/Wheeler, will be serviced by continuous bus service, and provide parking for over 350 vehicles.

Parking and Transportation Services is advising all students, faculty and staff that due to increased enrollment and the impact of construction on parking, the availability of parking will be limited this year. Students and faculty/staff parking in ungated lots should consider utilizing shuttle lots as their first option if arriving to campus after 9:00am.
