SAVE THE DATE: SIGN UP FOR
MOVE-IN DAY ON AUGUST 19-20
Become a CougarMOVER and welcome back our
students as they make UH their new
home. Residential Life and Housing
is looking for volunteers to join in
and lend a hand to the largest
residential class in UH history
during move-in on August 19-20. With
a warm welcome, residents and their
parents will immediately feel the
Cougar pride and spirit of our UH
community.
Volunteering for the CougarMOVER
team is an immediate way to make a
positive difference for our
students. In a very tangible way, it
shows them immediately that we care
and want them to be successful,
said Don Yackley, Executive Director
for Residential Life and Housing.
Volunteers will show our new
residents that they have joined a UH
community that cares and help them
to get settled before the year
begins. As a part of the CougarMOVER
crew, volunteers will greet students
and their parents as they arrive,
carry a few boxes, give directions
and offer support to help these
families during this emotional
transition.
CougarMOVERS can sign up to work in
two-hour increments or more during
the two move-in days from 7:30 a.m.
to 8:00 p.m. All volunteers will
receive a special Move-in crew
T-shirt and will be asked to check
in before their time slot to receive
their assignments.
To volunteer and help us welcome back our Cougars,
fill out the online form. Help us make a great first impression and get the year started off right!
