Students who need help buying textbooks for the spring semester may apply for a textbook loan.
The short-term loan offers $400 to use toward buying textbooks and school supplies at the UH Bookstore, located inside the Student Center South. Students can apply for the loan up until 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 2. The loans must be used in the bookstore no later than Wednesday, Feb. 14. Every UH student qualifies to receive a textbook loan regardless of whether they are receiving financial aid.
To apply for a textbook loan, follow these steps:
- Log into AccessUH
- Select the myUH icon
- Select “Student Financials”
- Select “Optional Fees”
- Select the term for the loan (Spring 2018)
- Select the magnifying glass icon on the book loan row
- Choose BKLOAN under “Valid Value”
- Click “Save”
