Campus Mail Service Being Impacted by Super Bowl

In the period leading up to Super Bowl LI on Sunday, Feb. 5, one of the NFL teams will be using the University of Houston football stadium as a practice field. During this time, all incoming mail for the NFL team will use a UH postal address. Because of this, as well as the NFL and U.S. Postal Service security protocols, all incoming mail and packages must undergo additional screenings and reviews before distribution.

Because of these heightened security protocols, all incoming mail and packages sent via USPS are expected to be delayed before being delivered to UH Postal Services for processing. Therefore, faculty, staff and students on campus can expect up to a full business day delay (eight hours) before final destination delivery of all incoming mail and packages arriving via USPS.

This period of delay is expected to begin Monday, Jan. 23, and will continue through Saturday, Feb. 4.  It will impact all areas of the UH campus.
