Healthy Options Added to Cougar Xpress Stores

Healthy OptionsUniversity of Houston Dining Services has added a variety of new, healthy snack options to on-campus convenience stores this semester.

Green Plate Foods is a dedicated food service provider that is committed to developing fresh, healthy treats and eats that are guilt-free, vegan and gluten-free.

“Nubblers are refrigerated fruit chews that come in blueberry pistachio, apricot peach and cherry chocolate flavors at the Student Center Cougar Xpress,” said Sybil Reado, retail manager.

Along with Green Plate Foods, UH Dining offers a variety of new options for customers to purchase like kale chips and protein bars at the Cougar Xpress stores across campus.

“We now serve Bobo’s Bars, Quest protein bars and Rhythm SuperFoods Kale Chips, just to name a few options that have been implemented into our rotation this semester,” said Reado.

Each snack option offers a variety of different flavors for customers to try.

“Each product is pre-packaged and ready for a student who is on the go and needs a quick snack,” said Reado.

UH Dining Services is committed to providing healthy, budget friendly options to the growing UH campus and community.
