UH Community Should Have Plan for Parking on Football Game Days

With the college football season rapidly approaching, University of Houston students, faculty and staff should start making plans now for the impact Cougar home games will have on parking and mobility across campus.

Seven home games are on the schedule at TDECU Stadium, which means thousands of additional visitors will be descending on campus to root on the Cougars. Five of those games will be held on a Saturday, which should minimize the overall impact to the campus community. In addition, another is slated to take place on the Friday after Thanksgiving, which is a campus holiday. There is one Thursday night home game on this year’s schedule.

To help everyone understand the impact these games will have, Parking and Transportation Services is maintaining a campus game day parking web page filled with important information. The UH community is encouraged to read it carefully and use it to help them make adjustments. The page details which parking lots and garages will directly be impacted, what roads will be closed, and provides a timeline for when these impacts will be felt. Because the information is subject to change, everyone should bookmark it and check it frequently for updates.
