Deadline is June 26 to Apply for Meal Plan, Textbook Scholarships

Time is winding down for University of Houston students to apply for meal plan and textbook scholarships.

The Meal Plan Scholarship, which is offered by UH Dining and is not renewable, provides an All-Access 7 meal plan for the fall and spring semesters. To apply, students must be admitted to an undergraduate program and meet at least one of the following eligibility requirements: Academic Excellence Scholar with an SAT score between 1200 and 1290 or an ACT score between 26 and 28, dean's list student with at least a 3.5 GPA, or a Transfer Excellence Scholar with at least a 3.0 GPA. Ten meal plan scholarships will be awarded.

The Barnes & Noble Textbook Scholarship awards $400 for the fall semester and $400 for the spring semester for students to use for purchasing textbooks. It is renewable for up to two years and has the same eligibility requirements as the Meal Plan Scholarship. Seven new textbook scholarships will be awarded and seven recipients from last year will have theirs renewed.
