Coming Spring 2024!

Auxiliary Services continues to make progress on construction of our exciting new retail food hall, formally known as the Retail Auxiliary and Dining Center (RAD Center). This new 41,000 square foot facility is located at the site of the old Satellite building, near the Graduate College of Social Work, the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication, and Science & Research Building 2.

The new food hall will feature six food concepts, including The Burger Joint (hand-crafted burgers), The Taco Stand (authentic tacos, burritos, tortas, and more), The Nook Café (coffeehouse), Paper Lantern (Asian grill and sushi), Absurd Bird (chicken shack), and a Market Store. Indoor and outdoor seating, including a second-floor patio, will accommodate up to 400 customers.

Both the Auxiliary Services administrative offices and the Cougar Card Office will relocate to the new food hall upon completion. A satellite package delivery/pickup space is also slated to occupy space.

Discussion and planning for the new food hall started in 2018, and we are excited to see the University’s efforts come to fruition with a planned opening in Spring 2024.
