Summer CTAP FAQs

Why is UH implementing this program?
UH takes its commitment to student affordability seriously. CTAP provides access to digital course materials on or before your first day of class, generally with significant savings to students.

How do I know if I’m eligible or enrolled in a CTAP course?
If you register for a class that is part of CTAP, you will be enrolled automatically. You will receive an introductory email when we identify that you are enrolled, which will be followed up by an official email from Follett/UH Campus Store detailing how to access your materials.

How do I find out what summer courses are in CTAP and what the associated fees are?
Please click here to go to our CTAP search page. You will be able to search for all summer classes by term; or you may search by course ID or section number.

How will I access the digital course materials for any CTAP class I am enrolled in?
You will receive an email on or before the first day of class with instructions on how to access your course content and/or you will have access via a link in your Learning Management System.

CASA MATH: Can I pay for my Math courses access code hosted on CASA through CTAP?
Yes, you can pay for the access code for Math courses that have learning material hosted on the CASA platform. CASA provides free access until the day after the Official Reporting Day (ORD), and at that time, CASA will communicate with CTAP to seamlessly provide continued access to learning materials for students who have already paid via the CTAP.

CASA MATH: What if I don't pay for my access code via CTAP? How can I access my learning materials via CASA?
You can purchase an access code from the bookstore [https://www.bkstr.com/houstonstore/product/casa-math-access-code-286013-1] and enter the code through the CASA portal.

Can I use financial aid to pay for CTAP fees?
If you have been awarded financial aid and your award surpasses the cost of tuition and fees, the CTAP costs can be covered by the aid you have already been awarded.

What if I prefer having a printed copy of the material instead of a digital version?
In most cases, a printed version of the materials may be provided to you for an additional fee. Please contact the UH Campus Store directly at 2160mgr@follett.com to request printed materials.

What are the fees?
The fees for CTAP were negotiated individually for each course to provide maximum student savings over the cost of new retail books. Fees are unique for each course. You may search for a particular class using our CTAP search function located here.

I don’t want to participate in CTAP, but I need to take one of the classes that is participating. Is there a way for me to opt out of the CTAP fees?
