College students have many important decisions to make:
“What should my major be?”
“Should I apply for student loans?”
“What kind of internship should I be looking for?”
And then there’s the biggest and most difficult decision of them all:
“What should I have for lunch?”
Students here at the University of Houston are finding out the answer to that question is even more difficult than before. That’s because when the spring semester got under way, they had more options to choose from than they did in the fall. A lot more!
In the Student Center South, a new food establishment has opened in the space formerly occupied by Cougar Byte. Mondo Subs serves a variety of subs and wraps. Check out CoogTV's coverage by clicking on the video above!
To see Mondo Sub's full complement of offerings, go to UH Dining’s menu page, then make sure to select Mondo Subs from the selection tab. While there, you can also check out the list of ingredients and nutritional information by clicking on the name of each menu item.
Students who have a meal plan that includes Red Combo meal exchanges will be happy to know that Mondo Subs is part of that program! And it has also been added to the Boost mobile ordering app, which now accepts Cougar Cash as a payment form.
If you go to Mondo and are disappointed that they don’t have a particular topping or sub you really like, provide your feedback to the management team by texting the Chattback number that is posted inside the restaurant!
That means all of the restaurants it houses are once again serving hungry students after being offline for a substantial amount of time.
Students are happy to know that Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Chick-fil-A, Kim Son, Sushic and Tandoori Nite were all open when the semester kicked off on Monday, Jan. 14. Starbucks, Smoothie King and the Market store opened at the end of the fall semester.
All that is left to open is Drexler's, and that will happen soon!
