Course Requirements:
Three midterm exams: 60% (total)
Final exam: 25%
Homeworks: 15% (requires Aplia subscription)
Attendance: Attendance is not required, except on the dates of the exams. However, students who consistently attend lectures often perform substantially better on exams than students who are frequently absent. Much of my lecture material is similar to material in the textbook, but I will sometimes lecture on additional topics not found in the text. For the exams, you are responsible for both lecture material and assigned reading material.
Homeworks: Weekly homework assignments are found on the Aplia web site. These assignments will collectively count for 15% of the grade. Think of the regular assignments on Aplia as a weekly Economics workout. Homework problems will be similar in nature to some exam questions. The four lowest of you homework grades will be dropped; the rest will count for 15% in total.
Aplia Course Key: USJU-Z64C-FGVB
Exams: The lowest of your three midterm exam scores will be dropped; the other two will count for 30% each. Exam dates are provided below. There are no make-up exams.
Important Dates:
Midterm #1: September, 12
Midterm #2: October, 10
Midterm #3: November, 21
Final exam: December, 9 (Saturday), 2-5pm, room TBA (students must show their ID card for admission to the final exam)
