I came to
the University of Houston in August 2009.
Prior to that I studied quantitative psychology and statistics at the University of Southern California under the
supervision of two wonderful advisors ¨C Profs Rand Wilcox & Gareth James. And prior to that, I
was a Market Research Analyst at China
Telecommunication Group after I received my B.S. in Electrical
Engineering at Beijing Institute of
Technology. As you may see, my background is multidisciplinary, so I have
a broad range of interests that include statistical learning, robust methods
and functional data analysis with an applied bent.
