General Overview of the Assignments

The section on Assignment Details gives you weekly guide to your study. You should schedule time each week to complete the assignments. [Note: if you were enrolled in a traditional section you would have three hours in class plus homework and study time so in scheduling your time for this section, I suggest that a normal week should involve a minimum of  ten hours.]

1. Read the Chapters that are referenced. Work through the examples. Be sure to consult the Assignment Details for the more specific requirements.
2. Work  the practice problems that are referenced for each Chapter. Check your solutions with those in the text. Work the Homework problems - the practice problems will help with the homework.
3. Review the notes. You might find some of the notes that are linked under Assignment Details to be helpful in solving problems - especially for  using Excel.
4. Ask questions. There are at least three ways to get help. 1) Send an e-mail message to me anytime. You will receive a prompt answer. You are also welcome to come by the office. 2) Got to the lab and get help from the TA. 3) I hope that we can get some discussion regarding the problems on the LISTSERV so if you have a question about a homework problem, direct it to the LISTSERV, and if you know the answer to a problem that is posted to the LISTSERV, please answer it. I will monitor the LISTSERV and will comment and answer questions, as required.
