Sameir Ibrahim is  freshman at the University of Houston. Born on December 4, 1985 in Kuwait City, Kuwait. In 1991 he moved to Toronto Canada, where he spent a year there while taking his first grade class. In 1992 he moved to Houston, Texas starting second grade here in Houston. After Askew Elementary, he moved on to Shadow Briar, Paul Revere, Westside High School, and finally University of Houston. Many of his hobbies include playing basketball and video games. He has not decided on any major yet but is looking forward to either majoring in Pharmacy or Computer Engineering. He is the first person in his family to attend an American school. Both of his parents have bachelor degrees and hopefully he will be able to earn his at the University of Houston . He likes to visit the Recreation and Wellness center and play basketball after his afternoon classes to relax before the drive home.

           Among the biggest building blocks that have constructed his personality over the years have been his responsibilities. His family and church are the main reason he strives to succeed.  Both create in him a sense of belonging and prove the fuel to continue striving to become a better person. At home he takes care of his parents and sister by providing them with whatever possible. He looks forward to continuing his education at the University of Houston and taking on even more responsibilities on the road to adulthood.
