My research interest are in understanding fluid/sediment interactions in natural settings such as rivers and estuaries through field, laboratory, and numerical experiments. This includes areas of study such as transport of cohesive and non-cohesive sediment, morphodynamics, and experimental hydraulics. I also have an interest in developing experimental methods related to these areas.
Currently we have assistantships at both the Ph.D. and M.S. level for experimental and numerical research pertaining to dynamics of marine mud in estuarine environments. Interested students should send me an email with a copy of their CV. Other research opportunities are also available.
