   The two former resources require that you register -- at no cost. These seem to be very valuable sources of information that you will want to take advantage of.

Undergraduate and Graduate Programs

1. An "electronic visit" to the schools you are considering is a good first step. Geoscience Departments WWW Directory for the U.S.A. and Canada lists more than 400 departments with World Wide Web home pages.

2. Peterson's Education Center offers free keyword searches for both undergraduate and graduate education.
