John Dye

Inventory of John Dye, Prince William County, Virginia - 1749-1798

John Dye was the son of Vincent and Sarah Artepe Dye. He was born in Middlesex County, New Jersey and migrated with his parents to Prince William County, Virginia around 1782. He married Mary Hixon and they had five children. He died at about the same time as his parents, several of his siblings and his uncle Amos Dye.

In obedience to an order of Prince William Court bearing date the 7th of May 1798 we the subscribers being first sworn have inventory and appraised all the estate of John Dye decreased as shown us by the administratix Mary (Hixon) Dye. May 10, 1798.
