David Dey, Son of John Laurens Dey

David Dye - born in 1725 in Middlesex County, New Jersey and died on March 4, 1776 in Middlesex County, New Jersey. He married Hannnah Disbrow of Middlesex County, New Jersey in 1769, the daughter of Henry Disbrow and Tryntje Hendricksen.

David served under Captain Richard Langdon's expedition against Canada in 1746.

David and Hannah had 3 children:

  1. Vincent Dye was born in Middlesex County, New Jersey and migrated to Montour County, Pennsylvania (blue on the map below.)

  2. Henry Dye was born in Middlesex County, New Jersey and migrated to Mercer County, New Jersey

  3. David Dye, II, was born in Middlesex County, New Jersey and migrated to Union County.

The three boys were under 7 when their father died.

Hannah married (2) Captain Peter Perrine in 1800; the son of Peter Perrine, neighbor of John Laurens Dey.
