Charles D. Paxton
[born on July 28, 1879 in Renrock, Ohio]
died on February 16, 1963]

Charles D Paxton was the third child of James Harvey Paxton and he married Georgia Hammond in 1903. Georgia Hammond was born on December 9, 1883, the daughter of John and Maggie Hammond. The Hammond's lived in the brick house that Vincent Dye built in 1835. She died in the influenza epidemic on March 4, 1930.

They owned Valley View Farm on Coopermill Road, southwest of Zanesville, Ohio -- a farm of about 160 acres which his son Don continues to operate.

[I would bet that the dog's name was Rex. Grandpa had a thing about dogs named Rex and they were always working dogs. When I stayed on the farm during the summers I would often go along with Rex to round up the cows. Rex didn't seem to mind but Grandpa thought I was wasting Rex's time.]
