ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Port of Houston Boat Tour is Friday, March 5^th. The Tour Boat leaves promptly at 2:30 from its dock at gate 8 off of 7300 Clinton Drive. So, don’t be late! You will need about 30 minutes from UH to get there and proceed through security. You will need your driver’s license or a picture ID. Gather together at the dock and do not bring large bags, large purses or backpacks. You will not be able to bring them on board. We need to be together when we check in at the dock. The instructions from the Port Authority are as follows: “When your group arrives just make sure everyone is together when you check in. All the names will be on a roster down at the boat.  Everyone needs to have their picture ID to board.  One thing that has changed is that now no backpacks or large bags are allowed aboard.” 

Classes will be held on both Tuesday and Thursday of that week. I will cancel a class after Spring Break to make up for the time you took to go on the tour. I will give directions to the Port during Tuesday and Thursday classes. I will also provide a map. Leave East Loop 610 at Clinton Drive (exit # 28). Proceed west (right) on Clinton, pass McCarty to Gate 8. Enter Gate 8 and stay to the right. A security guard and signs will direct you to the pavilion.
