Pre-Summer Session, 1997- Fast-Track Mini-Course


Course Description

Communication for the 21st Century is a fast-track, 3 week, mini-course that emphasizes the development of telecommunications, interpersonal and performance skills for effective face-2-face and electronic communications in an international, knowledge based economy.

The course will cover topics such as teambuilding, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, conflict resolution, intercultural communication skills, leadership, decision making styles, power, influence, generational workstyles and techniques for job hunting and career advancement in the electronic age. (3 credit hours)


Instructional Team

The course is team taught by instructors from the University of Houston, College of Technology (UH) and South Plains College (SPC), Communications Department.
