No matter how hard I try or how much I play, I can't get to the place in my golf game where I can count on shooting better than bogey golf. Something is always a little bit off in some part of my game, but it isn't always the same part. Some days, I'll three or four putt every hole; others, I couldn't buy a straight tee shot. It's a frustrating game. If you have any words of wisdom that might help a 45-year plus hack, please feel free to pass them on to
jrbenbrook@uh,edu.Linda has slowly begun to appreciate the finer aspects of the sport and she is always ready to accompany me for a quick nine holes at our local course, Brazos Bend. She doesn't do 18 holes, though; too repetitive and boring, hitting all of those shots. She is beginning to score a little better and that bodes well for increasing interest, right on time for my retirement six years from now (1999).
