Linda currently has two cats. Juliette is a six year old long-haired calico. She is a super friendly cat but she only barely tolerates Baloo, our newest cat, who is already four years old, but still very playful. We've almost forgotten how much fun it is to have a kitten around the house and Linda is always on the lookout for an easy grab to increase the headcount.
Due to the cats' relentless urge to hunt, thereby decimating the bird and lizard population around our place, I've been trying to convince Linda not to replace the cats as they leave us. That would represent a very big change in Linda's life because she has ALWAYS had cats. She has slowly evolved into a dog/horse/rabbit person as well over the past ten years and you can guarantee that there will not be a shortage of pets around the place, even if the number of cats were to go down, though I doubt it ever will for any significant length of time.
