Lyndsie Harris

What is your major and year?

I'm a senior and I'm a history major and classical studies minor.

Why did you choose UH as your university?

I originally was interested in the business college, and they had a good program.

What have you enjoyed about your university experiences?

I've really enjoyed my classes, and my professors have been amazing. I've also really enjoyed the friends I've been able to make. Our campus is so diverse, so I've been able to make such a wide variety of friends. I've made a lot of strong friendships that will continue after I graduate.

What extracurricular activities have you been involved with?

I'm the Vice President of the undergraduate chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, it's the University's history honor society. I'm also a volunteer at the Women's Resource Center.

What advice do you have for new students?

Don't be afraid to ask questions. Make new friends. Explore the city, especially if you're a transplant like me, there is so much to discover.

What are you hobbies and interests?

I enjoy going to concerts, movies, hanging out with friends and the museum. I also really love playing board and card games.
