This year, The Cat's Back event is on Wednesday, August 29th from 4:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m. at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center
The Cat’s Back event serves as the official kick–off for the “UH Weeks of Welcome”. This event is now in its tenth year, and faculty and staff members are encouraged to help make this a day to remember for both new and returning students.
“After a decade of excitement, the anticipation for this event has continued to grow, it offers students the perfect opportunity to make friends, have fun and learn what Cougar pride is all about."

The annual University Center (UC) Welcome Back has grown over the past decade, much to the delight of students, staff, and faculty. This year’s event will commence at 11:30AM in the Houston Room, located on the second floor of the UC.
The opportunity to win huge prizes is one of the many draws to attending the UC Welcome Back and Cougar Resource Fair. This year, the UC will celebrate the beginning of the new school year by giving students a chance to win prizes such as an IPAD 3, $150 Barnes & Noble Gift card, Beats Head Phones and much more.
Along with FREE food, the UC Welcome Back will feature an Ice Cream Eating Race, UC Jeopardy and a chance to learn about the many resources located at the UC and around campus as part of the Cougar Resource Fair.
