Summer Book Club

The Summer Book Club is a partnership between the WGRC and UH Libraries. Staff, Faculty and Students are welcome to read the two selected books on their own, and come together for a lunch time discussion.

Red Zone Kick Off

August 23rd

11am-1pm, Student Center Plaza

The Red Zone is a period of time from the beginning of the fall semester through Thanksgiving break when students, are more susceptible to sexual assault on college campuses. The WGRC in partnership with SHRL will host several education and awareness events, called Red Zone. The Kickoff event will include a resource fair and giveaways. We encourage all students to stop by! Staff & faculty are also welcome.

Campus Prowl Open House

Want to learn more about the WGRC? Stop by during our open house to take a tour, meet staff and students, play games, win prizes and eat! *All UH students, staff & faculty are welcome

Phenomenal Woman

September 18th

6-7:30pm, Student Center South Ballroom

The Phenomenal Woman event is an evening of celebration, awareness and empowerment for UH Women. Students, Faculty and Staff are welcome. This event will include dinner and a keynote address from former Houston Mayor, Annise Parker. Space is limited, Registration is required.

Take Back the Night (TBTN)

October 17th

6-8pm, UH Lynn Eusan Park

An annual program commemorating a national day of action bringing attention to sexual and domestic violence on college campuses. TBTN will include a resource fair, campus march, candlelight vigil, performances and more. We encourage the entire UH community to attend.
