IMAGE (Intent and Motivation: Alcohol Group Exercise)

IMAGE (Intent and Motivation: Alcohol Group Exercise) is a research-based, theory driven program which is part of a comprehensive alcohol prevention program on the University of Houston campus. IMAGE has twice been awarded Model Program status by the U.S. Department of Education and has been recognized with an Exemplary Award by NASADAD (National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors) and NPN (National Prevention Network).

IMAGE uses a cohort based approach to prevention and has been implemented with a variety of university cohorts including residential life and housing (by floor or unit), student athletes (by team), sorority and fraternities (by group and by Council), and other university groups. Sexual violence Prevention and Education

UH Wellness is committed to creating and sustaining a campus culture free of sexual violence. Through our sexual violence prevention and education endeavors, we seek to empower campus community members to join us in this mission. More information on our direct programs and services, are listed below. UH Wellness is also open and available to work with student organizations, academic departments, and staff offices to continue to create dialogue around this issue in the form of an original program, workshop, or training. MIP Minors in Possession

The Alcohol Education Program for Minors (MIP) is a six-hour course (two sessions of three hours). Texas state law requires that minors who have been convicted of alcohol-related offenses complete this course, which is certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS).


Marijuana 101

Marijuana 101 is an online program developed by Third Millennium Classroom, and is used to help students explore the impact of marijuana use on their personal health, academic performance, and social behavior.  It is used as a referral by the Dean of Students Office.

If you have been mandated to complete this program and must receive credit, you will need to go to www.3rdmilclassrooms.com and click on the Begin Enrollment link on the left side.  To obtain the specific control number necessary to enroll, you may contact your referral source in the Dean of Students office, or contact UH Wellness at 713-743-5430.  Ask for the Outreach Counselor and indicate you are seeking information on Marijuana 101. There is a $35.00 fee which you can pay online.  You may also mail in your enrollment: Send a check, or money order with completed mail-in form to 3rd Millennium Classrooms – 6507 Grove Creek Drive – San Antonio, TX 78256.

Upon completion of the course, you will receive a completion notice.  Print this notice for your records and contact UH Wellness (713-743-5430) to complete your exit interview.
