Fresh Check Day
Fresh Check Day is a national event from The Jordan Porco Foundation (JPF) that seeks to bring awareness of various types of mental health issues and coping strategies, along with collegiate mental health resources in an approachable and interactive experience.  In Fall 2017, Fresh Check Day will be held on Thursday, September 14th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Student Centers Plaza. Partners include Counseling & Psychological Services, UH Health Center, Campus Recreation, Cougars in Recovery, Center for Students with Disabilities, Dean of Students, Women and Gender Resource Center, LGBTQ Resource Center, Veteran's Services, SMART Cougars, Cougar Peer Educators, Cougar Mental Health Advocates, and the American Medical Student Association.

Out of the Darkness
The Out of Darkness Campus Walk is coordinated in conjunction with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and is held annually at the University of Houston to bring awareness to suicide, and as a way for loved ones at UH and the surrounding Houston community to memorialize family or friends who have been lost to suicide.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Each April, UH Wellness coordinates the campus-wide observance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month with various campus partners. Through a variety of mediums, including workshops, trainings, movie screenings, panels and art projects – we seek to bring light to issue of campus sexual assault by engaging our community in ways to step up and prevent all acts of violence.

Unwind with Wellness
Unwind with Wellness is a semi-annual stress-free event held at the end of every Fall and Spring semester. Being one of the largest events organized by UH Wellness each semester, Unwind with Wellness provides students with unique relaxation experiences, like chair massages, therapy pets, meditation, and Do It Yourself Projects.

World AIDS Day
World AIDS Day, started in 1988, is a worldwide event designed to bring awareness to the fight against HIV. Designed to honor those individuals living with HIV and to memorialize those who have died, World AIDS Day is held annually on December 1.
