WAALT: the Wiki for the Anglo-American Legal Tradition Website WAALT is a project of the Anglo-American Legal Tradition (AALT) website ([1]) of the University of Houston.

WAALT is a wiki site that shares research findings on a wide range of themes. After receiving an account, researchers can post relevant links to documents from AALT and elsewhere, then summarize, translate, and comment upon them.

WAALT's goals are

  • furthering the history of England and Wales
  • enabling the exploitation of TNA documents available on AALT and elsewhere
  • expanding the research community by providing a research purpose short of publication
  • lowering the cost of research by expanding online research capability
  • providing a collaborative model of research

Adding information requires an account. To receive an account, email rpalmer@uh.edu and explain your interests (we ask this to prevent granting access to possible vandals). We aim to establish very broad membership. Academics, students, and independent researchers of all varieties are welcome.
