Suffolk to wit John MARKWELL puts in his place Isaac PAUKE his attorney against John WAKELING of plea of Debt

Suffolk to wit John WAKELING puts in his place Stockdell CLARKE his attorney at the suit of MARKSWELL of the plea aforesaid

Suffolk to wit Be it remembered that heretofore that is to say of the term of saint Hilary last past before our Lord the King at Westminster came John MARKWELL by Isaac PAUKE his attorney and brought in the Court of our Lord the King then there his contain Bill against John WAKELING being in the custody of the Marshall of Marshalsea of our sovereign Lord the King before the King himself of a plea of debt. And there are pledges to prosecute namely John Doe and Richard Roe the ? of which said Bill followeth in these words that is to say Suffolk (to wit) John MARKWELL complains of John WAKELING being the custody of the Marshall of the Marshalsea of our sovereign Lord the now King before the King himself of a plea that the said John WAKELING lender to the said John MARKWELL ten pounds of lawful money of Great Britain which he owes him and unjustly [detains?] for that the said John WAKELING not regarding the ? in such case made and provided nor tearing the ? in such case made and provided the said John WAKELING after the first day of June in the year of Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and sixty two and within the space of six months next before the day exhibiting the bill of him the said John MARKWELL against the said John WAKELING to wit on the twenty third day of October in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven and hundred seventy three [1773] in the night time of the same day in the parish of Stansted [Stanstead] in the County of Suffolk did ? a certain engine called a snare to kill and destroy the game of this Kingdom he the said John WAKELING not being a person qualified by the Laws and Statues of this Realm to Kill and destroy the Games of this Kingdom against the form of those statue in such have made and provided whereby and by force of the statue in such case made and provided an action hath ? to the said John MARKWELL to demand and have of and from the said John WAKELING for his said offence five pounds residue of the said ten pounds above demanded. Nevertheless the said John WAKELING (although often ? hath not rendered the said ten pounds or any part thereof to the said John MARKWELL but to tender the same to the said John MARKWELL he the said John WAKELING hath hitherto altogether denied and still doth deny to the damage of the said John MARKWELL of ten pounds (and there upon he brings suit)
